Polyther Polyols

Polyther Polyols
Short Description

The terminal hydroxyl groups (-OH) produced by the polymerization of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide are semi-finished polymers with molecular weights ranging from 200 to 14,000 Daltons. Polyether polyols are the base material of the polyurethane family, which is widely used around the world. Polyether polyols can be synthesized using initiators such as glycerol, sucrose and sorbitol. Depending on the type and amount of these initiators, they can have different hydroxyl values and functional groups. These values depend on the application of the polyether polyol.
